Rutland Partners - Our history

Rutland has operated as a private equity fund since 2000. Prior to that the team ran a public company whose investment focus was very similar to today’s private equity fund.

As a public company, we implemented our strategy as owner managers, so we know the difficulties of running a business. As an investor, this enables us to take an operator’s view of problems and to help management tackle them confidently.

We also believe our history is a key factor in our differentiated investment strategy and strong track record.

We have invested in many sectors, through multiple economic cycles and have experienced all major transaction types. Add to this the desire to make a difference and you have a powerful and supportive investor.
